The Board of Directors of Bulamu Healthcare is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Volker Kuebler as the official Interim Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

Dr. Kuebler, who has been serving on Bulamu’s Board of Directors, brings to this role extensive international business experience and a deep commitment to our mission of transforming healthcare in Uganda. His appointment reflects the Board’s confidence in his ability to guide the organization during this transitional period with vision and strategic leadership.

About Dr. Kuebler

Volker is a seasoned senior business executive with management experience across international retail, data mining, and technology sectors. He has previously served as CEO for a semantic AI language processing firm and for an international Blockchain company.

With an MBA from the University of Chicago and a PhD in international business and social science from the University of Heidelberg, Dr. Kuebler brings valuable expertise in organizational leadership and global operations to Bulamu Healthcare.

As a Rotary Club member with a strong interest in Bulamu’s work, he already has a deep understanding of our mission and programs. As a native of Germany and a polyglot, he speaks five languages, Dr. Kuebler has the extensive international experience to lead our global team and strengthen our partnerships in Uganda and beyond.

During this interim period, Dr. Kuebler will focus on:

• Ensuring the continued excellence of our surgical programs, maternal and newborn care initiatives, and primary care work
• Strengthening our organizational capacity and operational efficiency
• Accelerating our data-analysis tools
• Deepening our partnerships with key stakeholders in Uganda
• Advancing our strategic planning for sustainable growth and impact
• Supporting the Board’s search for a permanent CEO
