In Uganda, Bulamu means “well-being” or “life.” To East African patients in need, Bulamu Healthcare is a lifeline and a valued partner to health professionals treating people living in poverty.

Our Mission: To treat patients and strengthen health systems serving Africans most in need.

Our Vision: To partner with African health workers and leaders to transform patient care.

With partnerships in place at 353 health centers across Uganda, Bulamu Healthcare helps increase access to high quality public health care and support locally based healthcare workers to reach more people in need. Our core areas of focus are: Maternal and Child Health, Surgery Programs, and Scalable Health Systems.

Our programs and services are mission driven. Our results are validated by patient health outcomes data and satisfaction surveys.

Our goal is to continue saving and enhancing the lives of Ugandans. In 2024-2025, Bulamu plans to expand its reach by working with partner health facilities to support 100,000 safer births per year in Uganda, among other outcomes.
