Andrew Mukuye, MbCHb, MPH
Dr. Andrew Mukuye serves as the Director-Health Systems Strengthening, having joined Bulamu in 2023. He is a public health expert with 20+ years of experience developing, managing, implementing, and advising public health programs.
Prior to joining Bulamu, Andrew was Technical Lead for TB/HIV programming with various PEPFAR-funded projects between 2008 and 2023. He completed his Internship at Mbale Regional Referral Hospital in 2006, where he remained as a medical officer up to the end of 2007. Dr. Mukuye has detailed knowledge of Uganda’s health system and structures, including familiarity with Ministry of Health policies, program priorities, and regulations. Dr. Mukuye earned a medical degree from Makerere University Medical School and a Master of Public Health from the International Health Sciences University.
