Dr. Mirika Sentongo, MBChB, MPH

Mirika Sentongo focuses on health systems and quality improvement, currently in the phlebotomy practice at MacNeil Hospital outside of Chicago. She has an MPH in addition to her medical degree and engages regularly on public health and health systems issues in her community in both the U.S. and Uganda. In Uganda, she led the push to train women in the Mama Care approach to breast self-exams, among other initiatives that she has supported. Mirika is licensed to practice medicine in Uganda and is looking forward to serving with Bulamu’s team there in the year ahead.
