Mackay Masereka
Mackay provides strategic direction and leadership for the organization’s programs in the country, ensuring alignment with the organization’s global mission and goals.
Directs programs in Uganda, including the Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health, Surgery, health systems strengthening, and strategic government relations, while also leading Bulamu’s team. He also provides overall financial and HR management in the country.
Mackay joined Bulamu in 2017 after 19 years of experience in program management with NGOs (including Hospice Africa Uganda, Family Health International, Plan International, ActionAid International, ICEA for HIV/AIDS care, and other healthcare services in Uganda. He earned a BA in Social Sciences from Makerere University and an MA in Development Studies (majoring in NGO management) from Uganda Martyrs University.
